Job summary

Supply Desk is partnering with a supportive SEN school in Uxbridge to recruit an MLD Teaching Assistant for a full-time position. The role involves working 1:1 and in small groups to support students with Moderate Learning Difficulties, helping them access lessons and participate in activities.

You will collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to promote literacy, numeracy, communication, and independence while contributing to a safe, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, especially MLD.
• Knowledge of strategies to support learners with additional needs.
• Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to students' academic and personal development.
• Ability to work full-time in Uxbridge.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with MLD.
• Deliver tailored lessons and differentiated activities.
• Support literacy, numeracy, and communication development.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and social development.
• Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation.
• Adapt resources to meet individual learning needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
