Job summary

Cheshire East Council is seeking a Step-Forward Foster Carer to provide a safe, nurturing home for a child or sibling group transitioning from residential care. You will offer stability, routine and tailored support within your family environment.

You will work with social workers and therapists, receive specialist training, and access peer networks and local fostering support. A right to work in the UK and 21+ age are required.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the United Kingdom without constraints.
• Applicants must be aged 21 or over.
• Must be able to provide full-time care in a home setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time care for a child or sibling group moving from residential care.
• Offer stability, routine, and a nurturing home environment.
• Support emotional, behavioural, and social development of the child.
• Collaborate with social workers, therapists, and other professionals.
• Maintain clear records and provide therapeutic, relationship-based care.
