Job summary

Cheshire East Council is seeking a Step-Forward Foster Carer to welcome a child or sibling group into your home, offering stability and belonging. You will be supported by social workers and therapists, with specialist training and access to peer networks.

The role is full-time and self-employed within a caring family setting. Applicants should be 21+, have the right to work in the UK, and be able to provide full-time care with a dedicated spare bedroom.

Qualifications

• Experience with children, young people or adults who may have experienced trauma.
• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Willingness to undertake specialist training and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time care for a child or sibling group in your home.
• Offer stability, routine, and reassurance within a nurturing home.
• Support the child's emotional, behavioural, and social development.
• Work closely with social workers, therapists and other professionals.
• Keep clear records and provide therapeutic, relationship-based care.
