Job summary

Randstad Education in Bodmin is seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor / SEMH Support Worker for a full-time, long-term role across Bodmin and Cornwall. You will support pupils who have faced challenges in mainstream education, delivering community-based learning and pastoral support.

You will work with parents, carers and local agencies to re-engage learners, with responsibilities across primary or secondary settings depending on experience, requiring a full UK driving licence and a commitment to

Qualifications

GCSEs in Maths and English (C/4+) at least.
Full UK Driving Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
Available for full-time, long-term work.
Experience with SEMH/SEN or vulnerable youth is highly beneficial.
Excellent communication, empathy and behaviour management skills.

Responsibilities

Classroom Re-engagement: Develop personalised strategies to help disengaged young people build confidence and reintegrate into the learning environment.
Community-Based Learning: Drive and lead educational visits and activities across Bodmin and local communities to promote real-world learning.
Multi-Agency Collaboration: Partner with parents, carers, social workers, and local agencies to provide comprehensive pastoral support.
Targeted Interventions: Support pupils across Primary or Secondary sites, depending on your experience and preference.
