Job summary

Randstad Education is hiring a Full-Time Learning Mentor in Bodmin to support pupils facing SEMH and related challenges. The role focuses on community-based learning to rebuild confidence and re-engage students with schooling.

You will work across primary and secondary sites, collaborating with families and local services to deliver targeted interventions and personalised support plans.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or above.
• Experience with SEMH, SEN or vulnerable youth is beneficial.
• Must be available for full-time, long-term work.
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to a reliable vehicle are essential for community-based work.

Responsibilities

• Classroom re-engagement: Develop personalised strategies to help disengaged young people reintegrate into learning.
• Community-based learning: Lead educational visits and activities across Bodmin and local communities.
• Multi-agency collaboration: Partner with parents, carers, social workers and local agencies for pastoral support.
• Targeted interventions: Support pupils across primary or secondary sites depending on experience.
