Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a Learning Mentor in Bodmin to support students who face challenges in mainstream education. The role involves community-based learning to boost self-esteem, coping strategies, and academic re-engagement.

You will work with SEMH/SEN pupils, using tailored strategies and multi-agency collaboration to create lasting impact across primary and secondary settings. A full UK driving licence is essential and the position is full-time and long-term.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• GCSE grade C/4 or above in Maths and English.
• Experience with SEMH/SEN or vulnerable youth is valued.
• Excellent communication, patience, empathy, and strong behaviour management.

Responsibilities

• Develop personalised strategies to re-engage students returning to class.
• Lead community-based learning activities across Bodmin.
• Collaborate with parents, carers, social workers and local agencies.
• Provide targeted interventions across Primary or Secondary phases.
