Job summary

Willis Re (UK) Limited is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to build its global technology estate from the ground up, focusing on data, analytics and modern cloud platforms. You will own features end‑to‑end across APIs, services and user interfaces, with AI‑enabled design and secure, scalable architectures.

The role requires hands‑on engineering across the stack, experience with C#/.NET or Python, React/Angular on Azure, and modern DevOps practices, collaborating across a greenfield estate.

Qualifications

• Extensive professional software engineering experience shipping production systems end to end.
• Backend: strong C#/.NET or Python; solid API design and SQL skills.
• Frontend: modern UI with React or Angular and TypeScript.
• Cloud & DevOps: Azure, CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions), and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform).
• Security: apply patterns like OAuth 2.0, RBAC, secure coding practices.
• AI Development: experience with AI-enabled features or willingness to learn; data‑heavy features care about performance.

Responsibilities

• Build Across the Stack: design, build and ship features end to end from APIs to UI.
• Cloud Native Delivery: develop cloud‑native apps on Microsoft Azure using PaaS and IaC.
• Data‑Driven Features: surface data through APIs for brokers and analysts.
• AI‑Enabled Development: build AI-enabled features with retrieval augmentation and tool/integration patterns.
• AI‑Assisted Engineering: adopt AI tools in day‑to‑day workflows and mentor others.
• Integration: connect with external market platforms and vendor SaaS via API‑first patterns.
• Quality & Security: practice TDD, write secure code, enforce authentication/authorization.
• Collaboration: align with architectural standards and review code across teams.
