Job summary

Willis Re is building its global technology estate from the ground up, focusing on data, analytics and modern cloud platforms. We seek a hands-on Solution Architect to shape end-to-end design across greenfield initiatives for reinsurance broking, analytics and client platforms.

You will work with stakeholders, own architecture artifacts and drive AI tools adoption within the delivery lifecycle while leading engineering teams to implement the designs.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on software engineering and progression into solution architecture over 4+ years.
• Experience designing data-intensive systems, ideally in insurance or financial services.
• Strong practical programming and cloud platform skills (C#/.NET, Python, SQL; React/Angular; Terraform; AzureDevOps).

Responsibilities

• Design secure, scalable cloud-native solutions on Azure for insurance-related platforms.
• Architect data lake and pipeline architectures with governance for large data volumes.
• Lead hands-on prototyping to validate designs and support key technical decisions.
• Define and govern third-party integrations using API-first, event-driven patterns and secure data exchange.
• Embed security and compliance, including zero-trust and RBAC, from the outset.
• Guide engineers and act as lead engineer to ensure designs are implemented as designed.
