Job summary

Willis Re is seeking a hands-on Full Stack Engineer to build cloud-native, AI-enabled platforms for reinsurance analytics and client-facing products. You will work across the stack—from APIs to responsive UIs—using C#/.NET, Python, React and TypeScript, with Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions and Terraform for deployment.

The role emphasizes security, TDD, and collaboration with architects and product stakeholders.

Qualifications

Extensive professional software engineering experience, shipping and supporting production systems end to end.
Backend skills in C#/.NET or Python with strong API design and SQL.
Frontend skills with React or Angular and TypeScript.
Cloud & DevOps experience with Azure and CI/CD tooling, IaC (Terraform).
Security-focused development using OAuth 2.0/OIDC/Entra ID/RBAC patterns.
Data handling with relational databases and performance-minded SQL.
Experience building AI-enabled solutions or willingness to learn, with exposure to LLMs.
Strong emphasis on TDD, maintainable design, and clear trade-offs in engineering decisions.
Effective collaboration with product stakeholders and delivery partners.

Responsibilities

Build features end to end across APIs, services and user interfaces.
Deliver cloud-native solutions on Azure using PaaS, containers and infrastructure-as-code.
Develop AI-enabled features including retrieval-augmented generation and tool integrations.
Collaborate with architects, product stakeholders and delivery partners to ship software.
Follow security patterns and implement test-driven development.
Mentor and contribute to architectural standards across a greenfield estate.
