Job summary

James and James seek a dedicated operations leader to drive performance in our Goods In and Inbound teams at Northampton. You will manage hourly metrics, resource planning, and a strong safety culture within a fast-paced ecommerce fulfilment environment.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will mentor a 20+ person team, coordinate with Client Services, and continuously improve processes to deliver exceptional client experiences. This role is on-site with rotating weekend cover.

Qualifications

• You will lead the Inbound Team, overseeing the Goods In department and delivering the operations plan.
• You will monitor hourly metrics and ensure KPIs and SLAs are met or exceeded.
• You will develop, coach and upskill your team and manage attendance and scheduling.
• You will champion safety and maintain high standards across the operation.
• You will collaborate with Client Services and other departments to resolve client issues.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development, motivation and performance of the Inbound Team.
• Deploy your team across Goods, Problem Solving and Putaway to meet client SLAs.
• Set team and individual goals and provide training to close performance gaps.
• Conduct regular briefings and ensure smooth handovers between shifts.
• Look for ways to improve efficiency and client experience across the fulfilment centre.
