Job summary

Ford & Stanley TalentWise in Burton upon Trent are recruiting a Mechanical Fuel Fitter to support a busy Fuel Shop operation. This hands-on role focuses on inspection, installation, testing, fault finding and maintenance of fuel systems and test equipment for engine testing activities.

The role offers day shifts, a competitive hourly rate (£17 rising to £18.79 after 12 weeks) and a six-month contract with consistent hours from 07:00 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday and 07:00 to 13:00 Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced fuel engineering environment.
• Good knowledge of fuel system components including pumps and injectors.
• Clear focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement.

The Role

We are recruiting a Mechanical Fuel Fitter to support a busy Fuel Shop operation based in Burton upon Trent. This is a hands on position within a regulated engineering environment, focused on the inspection, installation, testing, fault finding and maintenance of fuel systems and associated test equipment supporting engine testing activity.

Key Duties

• Fault find and diagnose fuel system issues linked to testing operations
• Install, inspect and repair fuel systems and associated components
• Test fuel pumps and injectors, accurately recording results
• Carry out routine and preventative maintenance on test rigs

Essential Skills

• Experience working in a fast paced, deadline driven fuel engineering environment
• Good knowledge of fuel system components including pumps and injectors
• Clear focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement

Desirable

• Background in rail or automotive environments
• Experience working in regulated or safety critical settings
