Job summary

Hallgate Primary School in Cottingham is seeking a skilled Teaching Assistant to join our warm, dedicated team. The successful candidate will support pupils in a primary setting, work with the Class Teacher and SENDCO, and help meet educational, social and emotional needs.

You should have an NVQ 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent, be a good communicator, and be prepared for safeguarding checks and Enhanced DBS. Term-time pro rata, 31.25 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children in a primary school setting.
• Hold NVQ 2 for Teaching Assistants or an equivalent qualification.
• Be a good communicator and able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils by undertaking activities with individuals or groups to enable access to provision.
• Work with Class Teacher, SENDCO and other professionals to meet pupils' educational, social, emotional and developmental needs.
