Job summary

Edenthorpe Hall Primary Academy in Doncaster is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to support pupils' learning and wellbeing. You will work closely with teachers to deliver targeted activities in a calm, inclusive classroom.

This term-time role is 32.5 hours per week from 8:30 to 3:30, Mon-Fri, with a salary of £20,439 to £21,096 per annum. The successful candidate will have GCSEs in English and maths and a commitment to safeguarding and equality.

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary-aged children in an educational setting.
• GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the classroom to access learning and achieve their targets.
• Work with small groups and individual pupils to deliver targeted interventions and activities.
• Assist teachers with preparation and organisation of learning resources and activities.
• Support pupils with varying educational, social and emotional needs.
• Foster positive behaviour and a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Encourage pupil confidence, independence and participation in school life.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff.
• Contribute to safeguarding and promoting welfare of all children.
