Job summary

Trust Education Limited is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs in Barnsley (S71). The role offers flexible placement across partner schools and a chance to gain experience in different settings while maintaining a healthy work/life balance.

Ideally you will have experience with primary-aged children, strong English and maths, good communication, and a patient, caring approach. An enhanced DBS check is required.

Responsibilities

• Support children including those with SEND.
• Work with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver interventions.
• Adapt activities to meet individual learning, communication, and sensory needs.
• Promote social, emotional, language, and physical development.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Observe, monitor and record pupils' progress and share feedback with staff and parents.
