Company Shop Group is seeking a Warehouse Shift Manager for its frozen warehouse team in Darton, Barnsley. The role oversees day-to-day operations, ensuring safe and efficient activity across shifts, and manages teams, productivity, and compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Proven record of managing a large warehouse shift.
• Experience in frozen food environments.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Ability to plan labour and manage resources.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe, efficient frozen warehouse operations across shifts.
• Monitor workflows, KPIs, and SLAs; implement corrective actions.
• Lead shift teams, labour planning, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene and quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost controls.
• Investigate non-conformances and implement root-cau se actions.
• Conduct team briefings, coaching, and succession planning.
• Prepare and review daily/weekly KPI reports and handovers.
• Maintain training compliance and mentorship.
• Act as Emergency Response Marshall and point of contact.
• Undertake mandatory training and keep certifications up to date.
