Job summary

Southdown in Brighton and Hove is seeking a Team Manager to lead a frontline homelessness support team and ensure safe, stable accommodation for residents. The role focuses on compassionate, trauma-informed leadership, staff wellbeing and delivering measurable housing outcomes.

You will work with Brighton & Hove City Council and partners to coordinate support, uphold Southdown values, and drive service quality across 37 hours per week of permanent, on-site work in Brighton.

Qualifications

• Experience managing or supervising a frontline support team with a supportive leadership approach.
• Values-led leadership promoting staff wellbeing and high-quality support.
• Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
• Confident in building effective relationships with external partners, stakeholders and commissioners.
• Commitment to compassionate, inclusive and trauma-informed practice.
• Enhanced DBS check (paid for by Southdown).

Responsibilities

• Lead a frontline team supporting people experiencing homelessness to maintain their accommodation.
• Promote compassionate, inclusive and collaborative working, embedding trauma-informed practice in day-to-day support.
• Support staff wellbeing, build positive team relationships and focus on service quality and measurable outcomes.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners, stakeholders and commissioners to deliver coordinated housing support.
