Job summary

Sheffield City Council is recruiting Neighbourhood Officers to support residents in city-wide housing and tenancy matters. The role focuses on doorstep visits, tenant support, and proactive anti-social behaviour interventions, with a commitment to excellent customer service and strong partnership working.

You will manage your own workload, attend meetings, and contribute to safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing management would be beneficial but is not essential.
• Front line role with patch-based tenancy management and partnership working.
• Strong communication and literacy skills are essential for engaging with residents.

Responsibilities

• Visit tenants in their homes to deal with tenancy issues and anti-social behaviour.
• Assess and advise on rehousing options and referrals for support.
• Record interactions accurately and manage calendars and appointments.
