Job summary

Delos Data Inc. is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with a strategic customer, solving deployment and runtime challenges in a production AI data center.

You will work hands-on in the customer environment, shaping features with our engineering team while contributing to future customer pursuits. The role requires 5+ years in infra engineering, deep Linux and AI infrastructure experience, and strong scripting in Python and Bash.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in hands-on infra engineering with customer exposure.
• AI data center deployment experience with GPU/XPU clusters.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash for production scripts.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Slurm, and infrastructure tooling.
• Strong Linux, containers, and API knowledge.
• Effective communication with SRE and platform teams.
• Willing to travel and work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical owner for a strategic customer's production deployment.
• Work hands-on in the customer AI data center with GPU/XPU clusters, scheduling, and interconnects.
• Lead integration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root-cause analysis.
• Guide upgrades, cluster expansion, and new feature rollouts.
• Create runbooks, integration guides, and automation.
• Build relationships with customer infra, SRE, and platform teams.
• Translate customer problems into technical requirements for new features.
• Write and test code (Python, Bash, APIs) to prototype fixes and tooling.
• Contribute to RFPs, RFIs, evaluations, PoCs for new customers.
• Help build reference architectures, demos, and collateral; represent at briefings.
