Job summary

Accenture PLC in London seeks an experienced Frontend Engineering Associate Manager to lead front-end engineering for large digital programs. You will drive modern web technologies, scale client product and platform capabilities, and work with Generative AI to enhance experiences.

The role emphasizes client engagement, architectural direction, and delivery leadership across Agile programs, with onsite collaboration and a focus on performance and quality.

Qualifications

• Expertise in front-end engineering for mobile or web platforms.
• Experience with modern web frontend technologies and frameworks (React/Next.js).
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills and modern React patterns (hooks, context, state management).
• Experience with frontend testing strategies and tools (unit, integration and end-to-end).
• Accessibility-first delivery (WCAG), including semantic HTML and assistive technology testing.
• Web performance optimisation and profiling, including Core Web Vitals and code-splitting.
• Deep experience building web apps with Next.js including SSR/SSG/ISR and data-fetching.
• Strong UI engineering fundamentals: responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience contributing to and evolving design systems and component libraries.
• Frontend build tooling and developer experience (Vite/Webpack, monorepos).
• Production observability and debugging (frontend monitoring and analytics).
• Frontend security fundamentals (XSS/CSRF, secure auth).
• Use of Generative AI within workflows and products.
• Proven scalable AI solutions in projects.
• Experience integrating cloud services (GraphQL/REST).
• Experience in agile environments for digital product creation.
• Broad experience in modern engineering practices (Systems Architecture, Front End Engineering, Platform & SRE Engineering, Quality Engineering, CI/CD).

Responsibilities

• Drive growth and delivery impact across the client technology product engineering practice.
• Shape and scale client product and platform engineering capabilities.
• Build trusted senior client relationships and align stakeholders on outcomes and success metrics.
• Lead engineering across large digital and agile transformation programmes.
• Set web-front-end technical direction, including architecture and governance.
• Raise quality and reliability through testing, accessibility, performance, and observability.
• Identify, prototype and scale Generative AI use cases in products and workflows.
• Grow and retain high-performing teams through coaching and hiring support.
• Create reusable assets (Next.js accelerators, design patterns, delivery playbooks).
• Partner with Product, Design, Data and Engineering to deliver user-centred web products from discovery to production.
