Job summary

Parker Jones Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Digital Developer/Frontend Developer to join a Government agency on a 6-month contract.

You will work in a mixed Azure and AWS cloud environment, building accessible, responsive interfaces using React, Next.js and TypeScript, integrating with internal APIs and search indexes, and delivering across the full software lifecycle in an Agile team with CI/CD and automated testing.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Frontend/ Digital Developer or similar role (6+ months contract experience preferred).
• Hands-on with React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Experience delivering accessible, responsive web applications.
• Experience integrating frontend apps with backend APIs and services.

Responsibilities

• Develop responsive, accessible user interfaces using Next.js, React and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with design and product teams to create intuitive experiences.
• Develop frontend experiences backed by internal APIs and search indexes.
• Contribute across the full software lifecycle from conception to deployment.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and debugging to ensure high quality software.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications and resolve technical issues.
• Write technical documentation and help define project requirements.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Work within Agile delivery teams and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Stay up-to-date with frontend technologies and industry standards.
