Job summary

Veolia Ling Hall Composting Facility in Rugby is seeking a Site Operator to manage daily compost operations and material handling. You will operate a front shovel loader, maintain compost piles, monitor leachate and plant equipment, and support maintenance tasks as required.

The role requires a front shovel loader licence and a full driving licence, plus prior experience in similar manual handling roles. Training opportunities and a range of employee benefits are provided by Veolia.

Qualifications

• Experience in an operational manual handling role.
• Health and safety awareness essential.
• Willing to complete CMS training.
• Ability to deputise for senior operator when required.

Responsibilities

• Check incoming wastes and operate a front shovel loader to shred waste.
• Manage day-to-day site operations of the compost facility.
• Oversee composts, leachate management and plant maintenance.
• Operate weighbridge and monitor incoming loads.
• Turn windrows using front loader and perform litter control.
