Job summary

Veolia operates Ling Hall Composting Facility in Rugby, processing local green waste into compost for agricultural and horticultural use. This role offers a hands-on, shift-based environment with a 42.5 hour week and a salary of £28,683.64 plus overtime.

You will manage front shovel loading, waste processing, and site operations, with opportunities for training and development. The position requires a front shovel loader licence, a full driving licence, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Front shovel loader licence or equivalent.
• Full driving licence.
• Health and Safety awareness.
• Willing to complete CMS training.

Responsibilities

• Check incoming wastes and operate a front shovel loader to shred waste, maintain compost piles and the finishing line.
• Carry out day-to-day site operations of the compost site.
• Oversee plant operations and leachate management.
• Maintain plant and associated attachments; perform basic maintenance.
• Dep­utise for senior site operator in their absence.
