Job summary

Smart Solutions (Recruitment) Limited is currently seeking an experienced Loading Shovel Driver to join a busy recycling and composting facility based in Owmby. This hands-on role operates mobile plant in an outdoor setting, supporting the safe and efficient movement of materials across the site.

Key duties include operating the shovel, loading lorries, moving materials around the site, and carrying out daily checks and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a loading shovel on a busy site.
• Good understanding of safety procedures and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Loading Shovel safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload articulated lorries and collection vehicles.
• Move and transport materials around the site.
• Feed tunnels, shredders, screening equipment, and other processing machinery.
• Support the day-to-day recycling and composting operations.
• Carry out daily machine checks, greasing, and basic cleaning and maintenance.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the site.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Comply with all site Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
