Job summary

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in London seeks a full-time Shift Receptionist to join the busy front-of-house service. The role covers a 37.5-hour week on a rota from 07:00 to 23:00, across Chelsea and other sites as required.

You will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, delivering professional, confidential reception support in a fast-paced hospital setting. We value reliability, organisation and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• First Point of Contact: greet and welcome patients and visitors, ensuring courteous and efficient service.
• Facilities Helpdesk Duties: log requests and resolve routine issues, escalate complex matters as needed.
• Team Support and Flexibility: provide reception cover at other sites/departments to maintain service continuity.
• Policy and Governance Awareness: stay up to date with Trust policies and government initiatives.
