Job summary

Tesco is hiring Customer Delivery Drivers to bring groceries to customers’ homes. This role is more than driving: you’ll deliver friendly, reliable service and help customers at the doorstep, keeping orders in perfect condition.

You’ll work flexible shifts, with a guaranteed minimum of 16 hours per week (some roles from 12 hours are available). You’ll need a valid UK driving licence and a welcoming, customer‑focused approach as you work with the team and the public.

Qualifications

• Valid UK/EU driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months, with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Be warm and welcoming with customers and colleagues.
• Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change while out on the road and in the store.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues to create great team spirit and deliver the best service for customers.

Responsibilities

• Keep van, trays and work area clean and tidy so every customer receives their shopping in perfect condition.
• Load the van safely and complete checks to ensure it’s roadworthy, reliable and ready to deliver great service.
• Explain order changes, substitutions or short-dated items in a friendly, reassuring way, and offer refunds where needed to keep the experience smooth and positive.
• Handle products with care, treating every order as if it were your own to maintain quality and customer trust.
• Deliver within the customer’s time slot, providing warm, natural service at the doorstep and leaving customers feeling valued.
