Job summary

Sainsbury's is hiring a Customer Delivery Driver to bring groceries to customers' doorsteps with energy and care. You will drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, perform pre-trip checks, and communicate delays or issues to customers. When not delivering, you may help in-store to support the team.

We value a friendly, proactive approach, safety, and flexibility to work across the store as required. A full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 and hold a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks like moving shopping containers up to 15kg
• Right to Work in the UK is required

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries to customers' doorsteps in a timely and friendly manner using a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van
• Complete vehicle checks, keep vehicle clean and organised, and ensure customer orders are secure before departure
• Follow planned routes, drive safely in various conditions, and handle customer queries on the move
• Support store colleagues when not delivering and assist across the store as needed
