Job summary
Stantec is seeking aquatic ecologists to join our Freshwater Aquatic Ecology Team across the UK and Ireland. You will work on a variety of projects from planning surveys to environmental assessments, collaborating with specialists across disciplines to deliver sustainable outcomes for freshwater environments.
We welcome candidates from Consultant to Senior Principal grades, with opportunities for technical leadership, mentoring and business development.
Qualifications
- Degree or higher in Aquatic Ecology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Fisheries Science or related field.
- Membership of relevant professional body (e.g. CIEEM, IFM or CIWEM) or willingness to work towards accreditation.
- Experience surveying and interpreting freshwater ecological data and assessments.
- Knowledge of environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks across UK jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver freshwater aquatic ecology expertise across planning and survey design to environmental assessment and monitoring.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across ecology, hydrology, hydrogeology and engineering.
- Contribute to client relationships and project delivery with high quality technical guidance.
