Job summary

Stantec is expanding its Freshwater Aquatic Ecology team in the UK and Ireland, seeking aquatic ecologists at Consultant to Senior Principal levels to protect, enhance and restore freshwater environments.

You will work on nationally significant projects, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to environmental assessments, monitoring and delivery across the UK. We offer development, mentoring and flexible/hybrid working.

Qualifications

• Degree in aquatic ecology or related field.
• Chartered status desirable or willingness to work towards accreditation.
• Experience undertaking freshwater ecological surveys and assessments.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation and planning policy.

Responsibilities

• Work on nationally significant freshwater ecological projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver environmental assessments.
• Contribute to project delivery, client relationships and technical guidance.
• Prepare technical reports and communicate findings clearly.
