Job summary

Asda in Ashington is seeking a Fresh Manager to run the day-to-day operations of the Fresh department, delivering the best availability and high shop floor standards through precise execution, waste control and date code compliance while ensuring the store is safe and legal for customers and colleagues.

You will lead the shrink agenda with your Fresh team, drive standards and act on opportunities with clear actions, while developing the team and creating an environment where people feel valued

Qualifications

• Experience as Team Leader or Supervisor in a retail environment.
• Operational knowledge on food or non-food departments.
• Knowledge of improving availability, reducing waste, and managing shrink.
• Experience developing teams and managing change through leadership and building resilience.
• Strong organisational skills and great customer service.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute trading activity on shopfloor to deliver availability standards, key metrics and KRAs.
• Lead with impact by coaching the team to improve routines and processes and foster a customer-first culture.
• Ensure shopfloor, promotional and modular activity is delivered to brief and on time to drive selling.
• Develop talent and create an environment where colleagues feel valued, trusted and motivated to step up.
