Job summary

Asda, Bridgend, is seeking a Fresh Manager to oversee the Fresh department’s day-to-day running, ensuring optimal stock availability, waste control, and compliance with safety and legal standards. The role involves leading a team, driving standards, and executing trading activities to improve store performance.

You’ll mentor staff, manage shifts (days), and collaborate with colleagues to deliver excellent customer service and a great shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Experience as Team Leader or Supervisor in a retail environment.
• Operational knowledge on food or non-food departments.
• Knowledge of improving availability, reducing waste, and managing shrink.
• Experience developing teams and managing change through leadership.
• Strong organisational skills and great customer service.
• Flexibility to work weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shrink agenda through your Fresh team, driving standards and inputs with clear actions.
• Plan and execute trading activity on the shopfloor, delivering great availability standards, key metrics and KRAs.
• Lead with impact by coaching the team to improve routines and processes, while selling with personality and customer focus.
• Develop talents by building resilience, ownership, and a culture where the team feels valued and motivated to step up.
