Job summary

Asda Bridgend is seeking a Fresh Manager to lead the Fresh department, driving availability, standards, and compliance. You will manage waste, date codes, and safety, ensuring processes meet company standards while delivering excellent customer service.

You will lead the shrink agenda through your team, driving standards and taking action on opportunities. This role requires strong leadership and a flexible, proactive approach to daily trading and team development.

Qualifications

• Experience as Team Leader or Supervisor in a retail environment.
• Operational knowledge on food or non-food departments.
• Knowledge of improving availability, reducing waste, and managing shrink.
• Experience developing teams and managing change through leadership and building resilience.
• Strong organisational skills and great customer service.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Fresh department daily to ensure best availability and store standards.
• Manage waste and date code compliance for safety and legality.
• Plan and execute trading activity on the shop floor to maintain high availability.
• Coach and develop the Fresh team to improve processes and resilience.
• Ensure shopfloor, promotions, and modular activity are delivered on time.
• Support and implement the shrink agenda with clear actions.
