Job summary
Eaton Electrical Ltd in Cwmbran is seeking a French-speaking Field Application Engineer for Intruder Alarm Systems. You will provide expert pre-sales and post-sales technical support, assist with system design and commissioning, and troubleshoot security solutions on-site and remotely.
Fluency in English and French is required, with strong knowledge of IP networking and BS EN 50131 to ensure compliant life-safety deployments.
Qualifications
- Level 4+ or equivalent in electrical engineering
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the fire industry (commissioning, project management or technical sales)
- Strong knowledge of life safety systems and BS EN 50131 standards
- Proficient in IP networking basics and security system integration
Responsibilities
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support for intruder alarm and integrated security systems.
- Assist customers, consultants and installers with system design and product selection.
- Support configuration, commissioning and troubleshooting of control panels, detectors and accessories.
- Deliver training and product demonstrations in English and French.
- Ensure systems meet security standards and industry best practices.
