Job summary

Eaton Electrical Ltd in Cwmbran is seeking a Field Application Engineer for Fire Alarm Systems to support design, installation, commissioning and maintenance. You will bridge customers, sales teams, installers and product development to ensure compliant fire safety solutions.

The role requires a background in electrical engineering, a minimum of five years in fire industry commissioning, project management or technical sales, and knowledge of BS 5839 and EN54.

Qualifications

• Requires Level 4+ or equivalent in electrical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in fire industry commissioning, project management or technical sales.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support for fire alarm products and integrated life safety systems.
• Assist customers, consultants and contractors with system design and product selection.
• Conduct site surveys and assess system requirements for new installations and upgrades.
• Support commissioning, configuration, testing and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems.
• Deliver technical training to customers, partners and internal teams.
• Ensure installations comply with BS 5839 and EN54.
