Job summary

Eaton Group in the United Kingdom seeks a French-speaking Field Application Engineer for intruder alarm systems. You’ll bridge customers, sales, installers and engineering to design, implement, commission and troubleshoot security solutions, while meeting customer needs and industry standards.

You will handle pre-sales and post-sales support, assist with design choices, configure and commission panels and detectors, and deliver training in English and French.

Qualifications

• Level 4+ or equivalent in electrical engineering.
• Proven 5+ years in fire industry – commissioning, PM or sales.
• Strong knowledge of BS EN 50131 standards and life safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support for intruder alarm and integrated security systems.
• Assist customers, consultants and installers with system design and product recommendations.
• Support configuration, commissioning and troubleshooting of control panels and sensors.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues remotely or on site.
• Deliver training and product demonstrations in English and French.
• Integrate security systems with IP networks, access control and video platforms.
• Conduct site surveys to identify requirements and propose solutions.
• Create technical documentation and customer reports.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams for feedback and improvements.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
