Job summary

Transcomm Recruitment Ltd is working with a major UK & International freight forwarding organisation to recruit an Inside Sales Coordinator in Essex. The role involves taking freight client calls, booking freight, negotiating costs, and providing quotes to close deals.

You will handle inbound enquiries, manage quotations and bookings, and liaise with customers, overseas partners, suppliers and internal teams to support the wider sales effort.

Qualifications

• Must have a good understanding of European road freight.
• Capable of manually calculating costs and charges.
• Understanding of taxable kilos.
• Good customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a team but also be self-sufficient.

Responsibilities

• Handling enquiries for European road freight groupage services.
• Cold calling - occasional requirement.
• Handling inbound enquiries - majority of the role.
• Responsible for own quotations and bookings, as well as supporting the wider sales team.
• Liaising with customers, overseas partners, suppliers and internal teams.

Job description

A major UK & International freight forwarding organisation is looking for an Inside sales coordinator to take freight client calls and book freight with clients new and existing, negotiating freight costs, providing quotes and following up on those quotes, prices, completing deals, knowledge of European Road freight is an advantage.

ROLE: Inside Sales Coordinator

LOCATION: Essex

BASIC Salary: £Up to £35k

• Working within a department of 8 people, part of a wider team of 50.
• Handling enquiries for European road freight groupage services.
