Job summary

Confidential in Essex is seeking an Inside Sales Coordinator to handle freight client calls, quote and book freight with new and existing clients, and negotiate costs for European road freight. You will manage inbound enquiries, provide quotes, follow up on quotes, and work with the wider sales team, customers, overseas partners and internal teams.

A 10% discretionary annual bonus, pension, and generous holiday allowances accompany the role.

• Must have a good understanding of European road freight.
• Capable of manually calculating costs and charges.
• Understanding of taxable kilos.
• Good customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a team but also be self-sufficient.

Responsibilities

• Handle freight client calls and book freight with new and existing clients.
• Quote and negotiate freight costs, follow up on quotes and close deals.
• Liaise with customers, overseas partners, suppliers and internal teams.
• Handle inbound enquiries and some cold calling.
• Responsible for own quotations and bookings, supporting the wider sales team.

Job description

A major UK & International freight forwarding organisation is looking for an Inside sales coordinator to take freight client calls and book freight with clients new and existing, negotiating freight costs, providing quotes and following up on those quotes, prices, completing deals, knowledge of European Road freight is an advantage.

ROLE: Inside Sales Coordinator

LOCATION: Essex

BASIC Salary: Up to 35k

BENEFITS: 10% discretionary annual bonus, pension, 25 days holiday, life assurance.

ROLE:

Working within a department of 8 people, part of a wider team of 50.

Handling enquiries for European road freight groupage services.

Cold calling - occasional requirement.

Handling inbound enquiries - majority of the role.

Responsible for own quotations and bookings, as well as supporting the wider sales team.

Liaising with customers, overseas partners, suppliers and internal teams.

Skills required:

Must have a good understanding of European road freight.

Understanding of taxable kilos.
