Job summary

Confidential, an established international freight forwarding business, is seeking an Internal Sales Executive to join its team in Crowthorne. This role focuses on producing competitive freight quotations and converting enquiries into shipments.

You'll work with customers, overseas partners, and carriers, generating quotes for Air, Sea, and Road freight, using CargoWise, and handing over shipments to operations with clear instructions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years sales experience within freight forwarding.
• Good understanding of the freight forwarding industry.
• Strong customer service and negotiation skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and telephone communication.
• Ability to provide accurate quotations across Air, Sea and Road Freight.
• Good numerical ability and attention to detail.
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy, competitive environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare competitive and accurate pricing for bids, tenders and general quotations across Air, Sea and Road Freight.
• Generate quotations through CargoWise.
• Liaise with airlines and shipping lines to obtain competitive rates.
• Follow up quotations and develop opportunities with customers.
• Liaise with UK customers and overseas partners/agents.
• Handle customer and pricing-related queries.
• Pass successfully secured shipments across to the operations team with clear instructions.

Internal Sales Executive - Freight Forwarding

Salary: Up to 35,000
Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30

An established international freight forwarding business is looking to recruit an Internal Sales Executive to join its team in Crowthorne.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous freight forwarding sales experience who enjoys pricing, customer interaction and securing new business opportunities across Air, Sea and Road Freight.

The Role

Working closely with customers, overseas partners, carriers and the operations team, you will be responsible for producing competitive freight quotations and following opportunities through from initial enquiry to shipment handover.
