Martin Veasey Talent Solutions is seeking a General Manager Commercial, Freight Forwarding. Based in Cambridgeshire or the North West, the role offers £60,000-£75,000 base with uncapped quarterly bonus and a long-term incentive on branch EBIT, aiming for six-figure OTE.

The successful candidate will hunt, win business, and build a team, owning pricing discipline and branch profitability while expanding the network across the region.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of winning freight forwarding business.
• Experience building and leading a branch or regional team.
• Strong knowledge of ocean, road freight and customs processes.

Responsibilities

• Hunt and win new business for the branch.
• Build and coach a growing team as the branch scales.
• Own branch gross margin and pricing discipline to protect margin.
• Develop a credible pipeline and report progress honestly.
