Job summary

RS UK & Ireland is seeking a Freight Audit and Data Analyst to support the Transportation team in driving efficiency and cost optimization across our logistics network. You will collect, analyse, and interpret transportation data and offers to generate insights for strategic decisions.

You will analyse performance, benchmark carriers, translate datasets into clear recommendations for leadership, and support planning, forecasting, and dashboard development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field as listed.
• Proven experience in transportation, logistics, or analytics or equivalent academic experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with datasets.
• Knowledge of transportation costs, surcharges, and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Analyse transportation performance, costs, carrier KPIs, and service metrics.
• Benchmark carriers and evaluate transportation proposals and offers.
• Translate complex datasets into actionable recommendations for leadership.
• Identify trends, risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for network optimisation.
• Ensure data accuracy across transportation reporting processes.
• Support transportation planning, forecasting, and capacity analysis.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and analytical tools to aid business decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and logistics providers to improve performance.
• Participate in continuous improvement and strategic projects.
