Job summary

Freight Personnel seeks a Commercial Key Account Freight Clerk to join the team in Bradford. You will maintain excellent customer service for allocated key accounts, handle bookings, and input data into CargoWise and other systems.

You will liaise with customers, sub-contractors and agents, check documentation and issue bills of lading. The role requires freight experience, strong sales and customer service skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Our client is a global freight forwarder, although shipping world-wide they are a specialist shipper to Africa, the Middle East, India and Pakistan. Working with local partners on every continent, ensuring they can offer you the best advice and sea freight forwarding options available. With a well-established freight team they are looking to strengthen the Sales department and are now recruiting for a Commercial Key Account Freight Clerk to join the team at their offices in Bradford

This is a key role within the Freight Key Accounts Team where your main duties will be to maintain excellent customer service for all the Key Accounts allocated customers. You will be expected to be proactive in the role and maintain and develop business relationships. Effective communication and close team working is key.

Key Responsibilities

• Deal with customer queries via telephone/email

• Undertake customer bookings and input data into CargoWise and other systems
• Liaise with Customers, sub-contractors, Suppliers and agents

• Interpreting and managing customer requirements - speaking with clients to understand, anticipate and meet their needs

Experience required

• Freight experience
• Previous experience of working in a commercial environment
• Experience of working in import/export freight forwarding company or other Transport/logistics related market
• Excellent customer service and sales skills

Salary and Benefits

• Salary £26,000 -£30,000 depending on experience.
• Working hours - 9-5:15 flex
• Holidays - 22 days + Bank hols to start
