Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on water sector capital maintenance projects around Lincolnshire. The role is freelance for an initial 6 months with a typical mix of site/office and remote work.

You will run the commercial management of schemes, take ownership through final accounts, manage subcontractors, and handle variations, cost reporting and commercial controls to support project delivery.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in water, utilities or civil engineering projects.
• Proven ability to deliver capital maintenance or similar infra schemes.
• Strong close-out and final account experience.
• Experience managing multiple smaller-value projects concurrently.
• Proficient subcontract management, cost control and change management.
• Experience mentoring junior commercial staff.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of multiple capital maintenance schemes.
• Taking ownership of projects through to completion and final account.
• Managing subcontractor accounts and commercial administration.
• Assessment and management of variations and change.
• Cost reporting, forecasting and commercial controls.
• Ensuring commercial processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Supporting delivery teams against key programme and completion dates.
• Providing commercial guidance and support to the wider team.
• Supporting and managing junior members of the commercial team.
• Working closely with operational and commercial management.
