Job summary

Ganymede Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on major water sector capital maintenance projects around Lincolnshire. The role involves commercial management of schemes, ownership through to final accounts, and close collaboration with operations and commercial teams.

The position is freelance for initial 6 months, offering £550–£580 per day Inside IR35, with a pattern of around 3 days site/office and 2 days home.

Qualifications

• Experience in water, utilities or civil engineering projects.
• Proven track record delivering capital maintenance schemes.
• Strong close-out and final accounts experience.
• Ability to manage multiple smaller-value projects.
• Knowledge of subcontract management and cost control.
• Experience mentoring junior commercial staff.
• Independent worker who takes ownership quickly.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of multiple capital maintenance schemes
• Ownership of projects through to completion and final account
• Manage subcontractor accounts and commercial administration
• Assess and manage variations and change
• Cost reporting, forecasting and commercial controls
• Ensure processes are completed accurately and efficiently
• Support delivery teams against programme dates
• Provide commercial guidance to the wider team
• Support and manage junior commercial staff
• Work closely with operations and commercial management
