Job summary

Abatec Recruitment is seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join a leading utilities organisation delivering water and wastewater projects. You will take commercial responsibility across a framework of sewer rehabilitation and asset management schemes, ensuring cost control, timely variations and robust final accounts.

You’ll work within a busy commercial team, in a flexible hybrid setup with an long-term freelance pipeline and immediate start. Daily rates via Umbrella will apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in infrastructure, utilities or water sectors preferred.
• Strong NEC contract experience and change management skills.
• Proven ability to manage variations, risk, cost reporting, and final accounts.

Responsibilities

• Managing commercial and contractual responsibilities across multiple projects
• NEC contract administration and change management
• Variations, payment applications and final accounts
• Cost reporting, forecasting and risk management
• Tender analysis and procurement support
• Managing subcontractor and supplier relationships
