Job summary

Abatec Recruitment is representing a Tier 1 civil engineering contractor in seeking an experienced Freelance General Foreman for a highway improvement scheme. You will supervise daily site activities, coordinating with the Site Manager, engineers and subcontractors on safety, quality and programme.

Requirements include CSCS, First Aid, NRSWA and SMSTS, plus strong communication and leadership. This role is on-site with competitive daily rates (£350-£400) within CIS Umbrella.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as General Foreman or supervisory role in highways/civil engineering.
• Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation, RAMS and safe systems of work.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day site activities and site operatives.
• Oversee subcontractors to ensure works meet quality standards and programme.
• Collaborate with Site Manager, engineers and stakeholders to progress works.
