Job summary

Fawkes & Reece is seeking an experienced Freelance Finishing Manager to support the final stages of a construction project in Bexhill. This hands-on role focuses on delivering high-quality finishes and a smooth handover to the client.

You will oversee finishing trades, coordinate subcontractors, conduct snagging, and ensure health and safety on site, working closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager to meet deadlines and standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Finishing Manager on construction projects.
• Strong eye for detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• SMSTS or SSSTS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all finishing trades including painting, decorating, flooring, carpentry, and snagging.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors to ensure timely completion.
• Carry out detailed snagging inspections and ensure defects are resolved promptly.
• Maintain high standards of quality control across all finishing works.
• Work closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager to meet deadlines.
• Ensure health & safety regulations are followed on site.
• Assist with final handover and client inspections.
