Job summary

Pathway Group in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Employability Tutor to deliver a four-week employability programme from our Birmingham head office.

This freelance opportunity requires on-site delivery at Amington House, with responsibilities spanning learner support, CVs and interview preparation, and compliance to quality standards. A recognised teaching qualification and experience with job-seeking adults are essential.

Qualifications

• A recognised teaching qualification such as Level 3 Award in Education and Training, PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent.
• Experience delivering employability or vocational training.
• Experience supporting unemployed adults or learners with barriers to employment.
• Strong classroom management and learner engagement skills.
• Excellent communication, organisation and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work on-site at Amington House for the full four-week programme.
• Assessor qualification and funded employability or skills programmes experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging employability training across the four-week programme.
• Support learners with CVs, applications, job searching and interview preparation.
• Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Adapt delivery to meet individual learner needs.
• Monitor learner attendance, progress and participation.
• Complete all required learner records and programme documentation.
• Work closely with the engagement, quality and delivery teams.
• Ensure delivery meets programme, quality and compliance requirements.
