Job summary

Acorn Insurance is seeking a Claims Intelligence Analyst to support the Counter Fraud team and related areas. You will identify and review suspected fraudulent claims using fraud detection software and intelligence tools, producing findings in reports for internal teams and regulatory bodies.

You will build relationships with intelligence suppliers and law enforcement, collaborate with Investigators, Underwriters and the Intelligence team, and help improve fraud savings and reduce indemnity

Qualifications

• Knowledge of claims and underwriting best practice, especially leakage control, risk management and compliance.
• Minimum of 1 year in Intelligence or Counter Fraud investigations preferred with understanding of electronic fraud detection software.
• Experience using fraud detection tools and intelligence analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Investigate suspected fraudulent claims/policies using intelligence tools.
• Deliver intelligence-based outputs to reduce claim losses.
• Provide intelligence-led support to claims teams.
• Present complex information clearly in reports.
• Support development of intelligence products and outputs.
• Handle and evaluate confidential datasets and documents.
• Develop understanding of MI Reports and fraud detection strategy.
• Promote data integrity across the group.
• Respond to Schedule 2, Part 1 requests and manage exposure findings.
• Conduct advanced intelligence investigations and record items of interest.
• Maintain relationships with intelligence suppliers and law enforcement.
