Job summary

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 3 Clinical Support Worker for the Frailty Same Day Emergency Care (FIT SDEC) unit. The role involves nursing support, clinical skills, and patient care in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform venepuncture, ECG and cannulation, while assisting the RN and contributing to a developing Frailty pathway. The post is a 6-month fixed-term contract or secondment with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Willingness to undertake NVQ level 2 in care related area.
• Willingness to undertake NVQ level 3 in care related area.
• Care certificate.

Responsibilities

• Perform venepuncture, ECG and cannulation within defined parameters.
• Provide basic patient care and document it in records.
• Work with the multidisciplinary team to promote patient well-being.
• Assist RN in delivering care and prioritise patient needs.
• Support in direct clinical care while ensuring comfort of patients.
