Job summary

Manpower are seeking an interim Fragrance Team Laboratory Assistant to support Unilever’s Fragrance House at the Port Sunlight facility. The role is full-time for 6 months, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, paying up to £29,000 per annum pro rata depending on experience.

You will prepare samples for the UFH perfumery team, work within a dynamic, multi-cultural environment, and adhere to SOPs and safety guidelines while collaborating with the fragrance R&D groups globally.

Qualifications

• Science background preferred, ideally A-Level.
• GCSE-level science will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for the UFH perfumery team across all business groups.
• Accurately record all laboratory work.
• Safely handle and label all products.
• Work with the laboratory team to ensure timely sample preparation.
• Keep equipment and lab areas clean and compliant with procedures.
• Follow safety and lab management procedures and risk assessments.
• Provide updates to the project team on challenges and timing.
