Sphere Digital Recruitment is seeking a Fractional CISO to provide strategic security leadership from London, guiding governance, policy, and risk management as the business scales internationally across Europe.
You will review security policies, define requirements for products and systems, support accreditation programmes (ISO and related standards), and advise senior stakeholders on information security best practices while avoiding hands-on engineering.
The client is seeking a Fractional CISO to provide strategic security leadership across the organisation in London. This role focuses on shaping security direction, strengthening governance, and supporting the business as it scales internationally, including across multiple European markets.
Key responsibilities include reviewing, assessing, and developing security policies and governance frameworks; providing strategic guidance to senior stakeholders; defining security requirements and advising on new products, systems, and business initiatives; and supporting security accreditation efforts, including ISO certifications and related compliance programmes. The Fractional CISO will also manage governance, risk, and compliance activities, serve as an advisor on information security best practice, and work with internal teams to enable the implementation of security recommendations while maintaining compliance.
Candidates are expected to have prior CISO, Head of Information Security, or senior security leadership experience, with a strong background in security policy, governance, risk, and compliance. Experience supporting security accreditations and certification programmes, exposure to international regulatory and compliance requirements, and familiarity with martech, adtech, measurement, analytics, or similar technology environments are preferred. The role requires a strategic thinker comfortable influencing stakeholders in a fractional or consultancy capacity rather than acting as a hands-on security engineer.
